It was with extreme happiness and excitement that dedicated ‘Brexiteers’ watched as the European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Bill passed with 498 for and 114 against. I’m now looking forward to the UK Leaving the EU and the opportunities that this will entail.
However, I read that, despite voting for the EU Referendum Act, which enabled the EU Referendum to happen, that Norman Lamb MP has abstained on the implementation of the result. Why cannot Mr Lamb respect the wishes of his constituents, who voted 59% to Leave? It smacks of “I’ll give you a say, so long as you vote how I want you to”!
I think come 2020, the people of North Norfolk may have had enough with an MP who won’t get off the fence!
