A bit of good news from Cambridgeshire, Cllr Peter Reeve has been named on the Queens New Year Honours list as an MBE for services to Local Government and the community in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire .
As the Chairman of the UKIP North Norfolk Constituency Association, I’d like to congratulate Cllr Reeve on his award.
Many of us know Peter both professionally and personally; he came to help us at the stall at the Aylsham show, attended many meetings of the branch for AGMs and so on. We know now that his hard work both locally and nationally has not gone unnoticed. Let’s join with Peter in his celebration!
Cllr Reeve stated “ This is a truly unexpected honour which is incredibly humbling. I recognise that this honour represents not just my strong belief in rolling up your sleeves and making a difference in your own community but it also reflects the hard work and contribution made by all of the volunteers and teams who work along side me, this honour is a recognition of the work they do in making our communities a great place to live, work and play.”
UKIP leader, Paul Nuttall MEP said: “Pete is one of our longest serving Councillors and has an insatiable work ethic, he rolls up his sleeves and gets the job done.
“Pete is a great role model for how public service really can make a difference to real people’s lives. I am sure that he will continue to be as dedicated and successful for many years to come.”
We joined Ukip at the same time and I’m very proud that my old friend @PeterReeve has received an MBE.
