A Perspective on Values at County Hall

There is no chance then of “turkeys voting for Christmas” at County Hall.  The Conservatives have on two occasions voted against the continuation of the inquiry into the King’s Lynn incinerator contract (for which they were responsible) which has cost the taxpayers of Norfolk £34,000,000.  Also, all Councillors (except UKIP) have voted against pursuing the possibility of a revised council for Norfolk (with fewer Councillors) saving taxpayers up to £29,000,000 per annum.

Perhaps there will be something to cheer about in the New Year. Surely Councillors will do the right thing and reverse the decision to terminate school crossing patrols to save a mere £150,000 – a small price to pay to save a child’s life.

Yours Sincerely,

David Ramsbotham
UKIP County Councillor
Melton Constable Division
